Right, well seeing as I’m being positively goaded into posting (https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=4745 :) ) some stuff from over wander over the weekend, here are some token pics. To be honest, I don’t think I was really feeling it on Saturday, I had a great time, it was one of the most enjoyable mornings I’ve had in a long time, but I found it hard to see the shot, or something to that effect. Anyway, I think it’s just a phase I’ve been feeling recently.
I can’t say I particularly like any of my shots from Saturday but here are probably the ones I’m happier with
I kinda like this one for colour ( I don’t feel it has anything else to recommend it)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/cian/395185854/And I like this one for cuteness (little girl watching photographers watching busker)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/cian/395185870/Well have at it, you ravenous devourers of my self esteem (yeah, just try criticising me after that line!)

LoGillParticipant;) feeling verbose today ;)
Glad you posted your shots..
I really like your Moore St one .. i got NOTHING from around there .. never have and it frustrates the bejayses out of me :? :xThe base player one is great, could be a little sharper … I think you took that when he was smiling at me ;) .. *Sigh* .. he was VERY easy on the eye :)
It was a nice meet-up, I got quite a decent crop for the day .. might actually get around to posting them later .
Cheers Cian

ExpresbroParticipantYep..that’s a good shot of the bass player okay. I think there was mention of a competition to see who could get the best shot..hehe!! I’m out for that one..cos I don’t think I managed any decent shots of the band..the best one was from behinf them..so that says it all..
I like the last one as well…could be a promo shot for a romcom movie…”Love in the Park” maybe?
As for the other shots on Flikr ..I’ll comment on them there… Just want to say though…Did we REALLY look like that??
Cheers for posting Cian..and you’re right..was a very enjoyable ramble and excellent company.
C’mon Lorraine..stop daydreaming about that Bass player and get posting…

8)ciaranParticipantNice to see some colour from the day.
To be honest Cian, I dont think any of us expected to be really in the zone on Saturday. Walking around in a big group just isn’t condusive to good shooting. Personally I find that it’s when I’m on my own, that my better shots are taken. I’m glad you enjoyed the day.. it was nice to meet up.
P.S. The bass player…. I just don’t see it?

I always feel verbose, I can only presume that on some level I am compensating for the mediocrity of my sentiments with flourishes of elaborate and often superfluous verbal decoration, rarely if ever spelled correctly.

To be honest the shot was full height and VERY weak, this was a last ditch effort to salvage something!

Thanks Robbie, I’m happy enough with it, I think the colour is weak, I tried BW but the foliage just came out as noise. I might take another run at it later.
So yeah, cheers guys, we should try that again sometime.

That could well be it, sometimes I think photography is my dirty little secret or something, I can’t really talk to any of my friends about it though recently I’ve taken to talking “at” them about it. So maybe I just wasn’t used to being around people with cameras!
I went into town on Sunday to pic up a new notebook and I took this, which I love more than any of the previous shots, I’m not sure if the composition is as strong as it could be but Iadore the reticense in the doll’s “expression”
