Excellent gallery, first I thought, I’m still browsing with the Stumble and found some pro portfolio….
jb7ParticipantWow-
there are so many sides to all of these-
Well captured all of them-
lovely level of detail,
well composed, nicely lit-
camera dwelling nicely on that fetishistic hardware-Looks just like the real thing-
There are some funny things though-
the telescopic sights-
probably accurate to about two thousand yards-
One guy has three different sighting systems on his rifle,
but chooses to focus by looking down a stick-Good picture that-
and the next three,
and then,
the guy with the arm mangled in the rifle? Not a good look-
Then a quotation- I’m not sure about that-
Not as good as Sting’s song, but he had Johnny Cash singing it-Then some nice brown interference pattern and molle wear-
good choice of background-To the second-last,
where I might take a bit off the rhs-These have the look of a fashion shoot to me-
some of them-
no paint has been shot,
all the gear is brand new-Like I said, all good shots-
They seem to be taken mid telephotpo length-
I suppose the next logical step might be to go slightly longer-
and get closer to the faces of the dogs of war-Well, that, and maybe some shooting-
some good paint splatter and some nasty weals-Oh my god, I’ve gone all gung-ho!
Ok, back to earth-
alfapixelsParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantThat’s some serious equipment you’ve got there and I ain’t talking about the ones that spit paint. The clarity and sharpness is excellent. I also like the way you framed the subjects. Can’t help laughing at the serious faces though. It was like their life depended on their equipment…hmmm, unnervingly familiar. Of course except for the guy with the tongue hanging out.
And then JB7 pulls one in from the anals of history with something he prepared earlier.
Alan.
randomwayMemberI had to look up the term ‘airsoft’ on Wikipedia, because I suspected that this is indeed different from paintball… these are shooting small pellets instead of paint, that’s why the clear clothes and guns. Number 9. is like in a comedy… where is the enemy? :) I’m coming back to these photos a few times now, fantastic series!
MikeanywhereParticipantRavenAshMemberBrilliant shots.

Some cracking shots but paintball is soo much more fun!!!
Paintball is also more painful too, got shot in the neck right under the mask.
What are the odds.MikeanywhereParticipantRavenAsh wrote:

LOL – it doesnt happen to often!! At least with paintball you know when you get shot as the first & last time I tried airsoft the arguments that took place when someone shot someone was funny.
Love the motion caught in the 3rd shot – nicely caught too!!!
Sgt_MajorMemberThanks folks.
there are more shots in my website gallery, but I’m expecting about 50 shots, and dont wanna bore everyone here with them, unless you want me to put em here?
Ive played Airsoft and paintball over the years, and Airsoft for me is far superior. It does rely heavily on the honesty of the players to call their own hits, but when you get a good crowd playing it’s excellent. You can really get into it, hence the serious faces ;)
And it cleaner too! So less washing required, and no slime mashing into the gear {{shudder}}
The telescopic sites can be funny, but if they are set right, they can prove a very valuable asset, both in aiming, and in surveillance
this shoot was in fact a dummy run for me, as we are planning a proper airsoft photoshoot, so I wanted to get a feel for “getting in the shot” so to speak, without getting shot :D
The guy whose arm looks mangled – he’s using his arm to hold the rifle, so his free hand can reach the bottom of the magazine to ‘wind it’ – this allows him to maintain a steady rate of fire til the magazine is empty – around 300-470 rounds :D
the quote on the sniper shot was used for a poetry competition on another site, but I thought I’d share it with you all anyway. It’s not short enough for my liking, but I love the photo.
Thanks again for all the comments guys!

Sgt_MajorMembercheers mate!
The plan is to have this shoot in Ballynahinch sometime in the near future. Are you able to travel up North from Galway?
MikeanywhereParticipantI go up tp Be;fast all the time so just PM with enough notice as things are getting very busy for me
summerdreamnMemberthis looked like so much fun! i can’t comment on any technical aspects but i love the colours and the vibrancy! i felt that guy barrelling towards me in the first photo!
elludeParticipantWell-taken shots indeed, and agree with the comments about the colours being excellent.
Is that the pellet actually coming out from the gun in number 3?
