Sent off to Aldi by the missus, to get a pepper, or two.
Decided to get a pack of three, and photograph them instead! This is not my normal area of photography, so C&C welcome.
(Not that they wouldn’t also be welcome if it was my normal area of photography) :lol:MartinOCParticipantWell I can’t fault it, well executed photo.
I especially like the form of the green pepper, it has very nice contours/tones to it.Martin
RogMemberHi Martin,
Thanks for the comment.MartinOC wrote:

I’m afraid, having looked at it again since I uploaded it, I can.
I don’t like the brown bit on the end of the red pepper stalk.
I should either have cut it off at the time, or PP’d it.Ah well!
Sometimes I think, as photographers, we keep looking at an image we’ve taken, until we find fault with it.
Mabye that’s what keeps us taking pictures, looking for the elusive perfect image.Rog

I cant find the blown bit…it looks perfect to me!
If I were able to find anything to fault (and it is purely a composition thing..not at all technical. I probably would have sliced open the red pepper and displayed half of it including the seeds, and then I would turn the stem of the yellow pepper inward. Something like that..maybe.

PixelleMemberThe large area of red is uninteresting, but the other two are curvaceous/attractive shapes. As D Doll suggests, cut the red one or move it into another position..

Afraid I can’t do that Pixelle, they ended up in a chicken stir-fry soon after. :D
Joking aside, I understand what both Denver Doll and yourself mean.
I’ll be sure to try that next time.By the way Denver Doll, it was actually the brown, as opposed to blown, portion of the red pepper stalk that annoyed me when I looked at the image again.
Thanks for your comments folks.
RogDenverDollParticipantawww right  sorry about that Rog!
People talk so much more about blown bits than brown bits around here. My eye tricked me.
I also wanted to let you know that I loved the title that you chose..very clever
:D

Thanks Sharon.
Well, let’s be honest. If I’d called it something like “Peppers”, most people would just yawn & give it a wide berth.
If the title’s a bit odd or weird, people tend to be curious. :wink:Rog
