I went to Venice last time with a particular idea to photograph, but I haven’t had enough time and I got distracted by the lady I was there with… When I fail to take a picture that I have in mind, I always try to look up photographers, who can inspire me, and who photographed the same or similar subjects with success.
I found the portfolio of Alexey Titarenko, who dedicated much more time to that wonderful city and created pictures that I can only dream of creating. Plus, I have discovered his ‘City of Shadows’ series, which is simply staggering. That work is one of the few that I really adore now.

Jesus I’m not kidding! I now know what it’s like to have your jaw drop! I was welcomed to his site by the image of the cloud of people walking up the stairs by the rail. My mouth literally opened in astonishment ! Absolutely amazing
