An egret I believe? I was watching him for ages, he was catching little
fish but I was too far away from him to get a good shot, I liked the
black and white effect in this… it isnt black and white but the light made
it look that way, what do you think is it rubbish?
Far from it. Is a lovely composition. The monotone looks great..almost does look black and white.
My wife just looked over my shoulder and said…”Ohh..that’s really lovely..” So there ya go…the ultimate seal of approval… :D

It is a little egret. Its also a very nice shot, i really love the composition, its a photo to be proud of. Its the simplicity if this shot that makes it work, its got great lines leading the eye around the image. I might try removing the rock among the reeds, its a bit distracting, but its no major deal.
