First one is better. The second one looks a bit soft in the important places.

    Hi Janine
I think if you cropped in tighter to bring the subject more into frame these would instantly look better. A crop would help the subject become the focal point and you could
crop to create a more pleasing compostion or background

Number 1 is sweet, a change of comp would really make it shine, play around with different compositions using a crop tool

Thanks all for replying. I have cropped #1 further but I don’t think that it is sharp enough to be focused on this tight. What do you think? Feel free to edit it, have no problems with that.

    Thanks,

    Janine

    Hi Janine

Both of them are not bad shots. Next time you could try to get just a little bit closer. By filling the frame you remove the clutter. Try to think about placing the focal point of the image somewhere in the frame other than the center. You coulds also take a few of the same scene, recomposing between shots to find new and interesting angles.

    Hope this helps.

Not at all Janine. There is nothing imbarressing about these images. Techniques are learned as time goes by. It’s good to see you trying to learn. :)
