First Attempt at some sport photography. Using a simga 70-200 f2.8, any C&C welcome.

GaryA great first go Gary! Has all the things I’d look for in a sports shot. Sharp, good separation from background, players facing you, nicely composed – no legs partially out of frame, etc, good detail in the faces.
You could have been a little luckier with the lighting on the Portumna player – but you can’t have everything!
Gary, 2 great shots you must have had a decent enough seat. I would prefer the second one nice DOF good action and pin sharp right down to own’s the ball.
