Alternative to Genuine Fractals

    Hi,

I’ve registered with a site that lincenses on your images worldwide and part of the preparation process they ask you to upsize your the image to sizes around 48Mb. They recommend a software package called “Genuine Fractals” but does anyone know of a freeware equivalent I can download?

I’m just trying out the service first before I decide to get serious about it.

    Any help welcome.

You probably know that Photoshop can upsize your images. Alamy now allow you to use Photoshop whereas if I recall correctly they
used to ask you to use Genuine Fractals.

Genuine Fractals used to be considered the best for upsizing but not sure if this is still the case of if the advantage is as much as it used to be

On the other hand if the agency you are dealing with specify that Genuine Fractals has to be used then I guess you would have to comply with their demands.

This link might give you a few options.

    Thanks alot,
I never realised that Photoshop could upsize images and I don’t think i’m tied to any particular s/w package.

    Great stuff :D

I sold a shot a couple of months ago for the first time and they were looking for a resolution of 100megs. I had no clue how to do it so I posted a question on the forum of http://www.photo.net and I got a few replies that helped me out using PS CS3. This is the link to them. http://photo.net/digital-darkroom-forum/00RWJb
