An Experiment

Focal Length: 50mm
Shutter: 1/320 sec
Camera: Canon EOS 30D
Lens: EF-S 17-55

I added some grain to this in post-processing. I thought it fit the mood of the image. What do you think? C&C welcome!

I see people are voting with their feet on this one…I suppose I wasn’t convinced either in hindsight.

I kind of like it..maybe the dof has something to do with it..

There’s certainly something appealing about it but maybe it’s in the wrong forum as I don’t think it fits into landscape. Maybe the abstract forum might suit this image better.

Thanks for the comments guys. You might have a point about it being abstract…I’m not sure.

The funny thing is, I ran this one through my sanity filter (my wife), and she said it was good, so I posted it. Then later she said, “well, it’d make a good book cover, but I wouldn’t hang it on my wall”. Hardly a vote of confidence :D
