Anarchy in the Ukelele

Got this shot before this years passing out in Templemore.
Not that often you see a Ukelele in the Garda Band!
How can you possibly take that seriously?
Although I do have an album by the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain,
and they are a bit more scary en masse…j
Funny you should mention them JB as I have a dvd of theirs myself, Very entertaining.
The ukelele player in this pic is actually my brother and thankfully not actually a member of the Garda Band!Agree about the title for sure – also, how come your brother gets to wear the uniform without all the hassle that
goes with it? Don’t tell me the Garda band plays “bangers”? lol8)
You take a ukulele seriously when you try and play one.
Looks simple, but is more complex than a guitar to get to grips with!
You know you’ve cracked it when you can bang out a decent version of Hit Me Baby One More Time, mind.Love the pic, particularly the gentleman to the left of the main four-he looks nearly jealous of the uke player!
Pity about he background though – particularly the open bus door to the right.
