I like the small array of colour which keeps the shot simple to view and your control of the lighting. I do however find that out of focus tree in the foreground on the left hand side a bit of a distraction to viewing the photo as a whole. Perhaps that the way you wanted it?
Thanks, was not sure about the OOF tree, if in focus it may distract from the stone. Wanted to try and use it as a bit of a frame for the stone. Will go back some time and try with a bigger aperture.
really like the first..harder to take than one would assume no doubt…those forests can be REALLY tricky , with all sorts of light and shadows ! well done . not so sure about the second , the blurred foreground doesnt really work and serves as a distraction more than anything and i think there is too much space above
i really like the space above in 2, i think it really adds a lot. the mighty trees may tower over and dwarf the stone, but the stone was placed before them and will remain long after. i like the patches of light too.
