So im sure most of you hardened Wedding Photographers are used to the sight of Aunty Mary jumping out of the pew with her wind up disposable as the bride approaches her soon to be husband, yes we have all been there she may or may not get “her” shot and you …well its not like you can get them to do it again, anyways there is a new breed in town
..oh yes i couldnt believe my eyes whilst getting myself into position on top of the aisle gently jostling with the video-man for position i was all set to get those magical moments with the bride & her day just about to give his only daughter away when low & behold what comes out of the front row…no not Aunty Mary & her wind up disposable ….but Irene I-Pad !!!!!!!
Completly oblivious to the fact there was 2 professionals depending on this “money” shot. Im still wondering how she managed to fit it into her clutch purse :)
Be warned theres a whole new I-Generation of Wedding spoilers out there!!!!markcapilitanParticipantOh yeah, they’re now as common as point & shoots or big boys with slrs! Always get a laugh seeing the 10″ lifted above the congregation during the ceremony! Funniest weddings are the ones right after Christmas when half the guests have new cameras!!
slang61ParticipantHad to laugh at this one……
An iPad to a wedding to take pictures……sad.
STU.Ph0tograph3rMemberI’ve seen so many times family members with their mobile phones, compact cameras, semi-pro DSLR cameras and few times uncles with long lenses during the ceremony. Lately people also carry such devices like ipad.
Also once I was asked by bride’s cousin for permission to take pictures during the ceremony while I was main photographer.
It’s funny from one hand but from the other – they are guests, but they want to take amazing pictures like professional photographers.
Recently I’ve seen interesting link which explains a lot – Why you shuold hire a professional photographer? http://lnkd.in/52WZ9pbrownieParticipant
