I like the idea I think maybe if it was processed a little differently to make it look more like night time might work better? just thought :)
i like the idea too but not convinced about this shot.
think santa should be viewed from different angle and/or peraphs approching/entering a houseThanks Guys for the feedback. I dont know if a night time shot would be better but might give it a go to see how it looks. Twas suppose to be santa approaching as house on christmas morning.
claimi79, i dont get your idea of entering the house as you cant even see the door, as for approaching the house, well thats exactly what santa is doing here.

imagine its dark(er) and you have the a light showing the house entrance and another on the santa figure then the implication is that santa is going to the house as they are the focal points now i suppose if the dof was shallow i would maybe focus on either santa or the house but lets say santa, the destination would still be the lit house albeit out of focus giving it a more genseric look it could be anywhere.
I suppose i always think of santa being a night time traveler unless he is late… :)
maybe if you could see the house with driveway at an angle that is facing the camera? that way the message would be a bit “clearer” i think.. i know that there is a house in this picture but where the house is and the position of santa don’t really give me the impression that he’s walking towards it. unfortunately is not a shot that you can take every day and, in a way, i hope that it will be at least another year before you can try again ;)
what about if you had a set of foot prints behind him to enhance the fact that he’s walking towards the house? or maybe a sideway shot of santa while he’s walking?

Re processed to give a darker look. I still prefer the morning look. Let me know which u prefer. might be a good shot for the ps challenge thread
