Up to the usual standard Paul. There’s a lot of potential along the south coast that I haven’t seen other than the posting from you guys…I need to get out more!

PS – I saw an image recently of the Hook on no less a site than 1x.com from you…nice one! :D

surprised not to see more comments on this one. I really like this picture. Lots to look at . Motion on the water is captured perfectly , perfect shutter speed. A slight turn clockwise to straighten the horizon will perfect. On a personal level I would love to see a bit more of the sun , might be tempted to get into composite and add a sun on the horizon …..BUT thats just me :-)

    Thanks for the replies lads,
The sky was a bit bland for this one , I would have preferred a little more cloud, but what can ya do.
Not so sure there is anything wrong with the horizon??

Alan I’d love to see yourself and some of the lads from down wexford, posting more often.I’ve always enjoyed the yer stuff,
As regards 1x, I’m afraid the Hook shot is getting very lonesome sitting there all alone…….. :(

This is a stunning image. Absolutely top notch stuff.
One of the best shots I’ve seen in awhile.

I really love the detail in foreground rocks and the touch of whispy cloud sets it all off beautifully.

Could you enlighten us with some technical info, lens, shutter speed, aperture and what processing you did.

Sorry Brian, I only saw your comment now,
I’ve been away for a few days,
The setup was fairly straighforword, Sigma 10-20,1.6 secs f18,and I used a .9 lee soft grad,Cam on tripod about a foot off the ground.
it was the shutter speed which I was focusing on, I wanted to show some movement in the water,
I took a few shots trying to catch the movement of the water over the rocks,
This was one of the better ones,
In PS. I did most of the work in ACR, ie boosted vibrance, played around with the luminance ,
Then a Hue/saturation layer, just a slight levels adjustment, and thats about it.
