DaveMurdochParticipant
Managed to get a couple of hours snapping but the weather was poor and dull :(
Every shot looked flat and colourless so i processed them with Photomatix to see if i could get something decent!!comments welcome :)
jungleParticipantthe 1st ones my fav, fantastic looking image.
HDR is great, I’ve just started messing about with it.markst33ParticipantDid you shoot bracketed shots or did you take different exposures off the one RAW file ? I love HDR myself and am always curious as to peoples different approach. I sometimes think HDR is a dirty word on this site :)

HDR is great fun and can help save an otherwise poor shot….markst33 wrote:

Hi Mark,
The first is one shot used 3 times, the other 2 are 3 bracketed shots..
All other processing(sharpening,levels/curves and B&W) was done later using Canon`s DPP..I recon you are right about HDR being a dirty word  lol
MannyCParticipantLove the series, Photomatix I believe made HDR a bad word on every photographic forums I’ve been a part of. I wont lie, when i first used it, I loved how it could pull colors out of nowhere. You didn’t go overboard with it and the shots look awesome! Well done.

Cheers Manny 8)
I would always rather get a shot from one image but sometimes a scene crys out for the HDR treatment :D
or its the only way i can get something decent :wink:shutterbugParticipantThe second would be my pick, the tower is really pretty a real rapunzal let down your hair tower
I think it is easy to overprocess HDR and can make it look more like a sketch than a photograph, which is
why a lot of people dont like it. But it is really down to taste and some very busy shots look really good
when processed a bit over the top.My recent post “Wicklow Mountains” is a five shot HDR but no one has mentioned HDR at all
