Tim – Thanks a mil for the critique :) delighted you like Without looking at the exif i’m guessing i shot this f11 at around 50mm (with the 18-70) and maybe 5 ft from the model. The dof should be big enough (a foot at least) and definitely both eyes should be as sharp since it was them i focused on – shot RAW so maybe i should have sharpened another bit again when i converted to jpeg? Any opinions on this? I definitely see the difference in both eyes, could be down to post processing either.

Agree with the previous comments on the hairlight. That said, I like this a lot. I wonder how it would look in colour?

If you are worried about the jawline and are not averse to a little photoshop, lighten the chin and darken the jawline (as you would with makeup).Thanks a mil all for the comments :) I have this one ordered for print so i’m looking forward to seeing the results.
