Hi all,
Been lurking here for the last couple of weeks and decided to take the plunge and join up!
I’ve been playing around with photography for a few years and a long time ago had a stint in developing my own prints, however I’d still class myself as a beginner, especially recently as I just dug out the old camera’s and found I need some serious lessons in exposure!! Looking to start getting back into it now and hoping to begin developing prints again, as soon as I buy all the kit! So far I’ve refused to convert over to digital but I’m coming around to the idea, for colour anyway. I’d like to stick with ye olde film for black and white prints.
Thats about it on me, I’ve enjoyed all the posts so far, looking forward to talking to everyone :D

jb7ParticipantHi Sharon-
Welcome to the site-
We’re all beginners, in a way-
every picture a new one, hopefully-So now that you’re here, how about some pictures?
even some scans of the old prints you’ve been talking about?j
GCPParticipantSharon, your welcome. I’m playing around with photography myself for over 20 years now and still a lot to learn.
Enjoy the site.RobMemberWelcome aboard Sharon.
Looking forward to seeing a few of your old ‘prints’.
The very fact that you’ve had a stint in developing your
own work probably makes you a bit more experienced than
most of us here already, bunch of nyctophobiacs that we are…Rob.
RavenAshMemberWelcome to the site Sharon.
Plently of help here on the forums if you run into problems.LucParticipantHello, welcome on PI!
I did some BW prints a long time ago. That was good fun… but the result was not always at the rendez vous.
It is nice to see that some people continue to do that!steelydanParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantHi Sharon. Welcome to the site. We’re all nutters here.

I had a nyctophobiac once Rob, but the wheel fell off it!
AliParticipantstasberMemberHi and welcome Sharon. Took me a long 4 years to finally convince myself to go digital and it’s been enjoyable and productive. I still shoot some 35 occasionally, especially black and white. I still think that digital has a fair way to go to match the impact of film in print. Enjoy the site.
