Scheimpflug Principle… Hmmmm.. Sounds more Austrian to me than Australian, for sure :p
Stunning picture btw.
I really like the effect of the dark backgd and the orange flower.RGH_PhotographyMemberlousyParticipantLove the pic, it’s great- When this Scheimpflug principle I was lost- but the pic is the biz
Pat
jb7ParticipantThanks Urszula, and Ricky and Pat-
Nice to see this one come up again-
like a little memory of summer,
even though I can’t remember what day that was-Scheimpflug- got to be one of my favourite words-
its amazing the things you can do with the Scheimpflug Principle-Anyway, wont be long til spring-
and lots more flower pictures-Thanks again for the comments-
appreciated-j
randomwayMemberYeah, it’s nice to see some colour photos coming up in these grey winter days… and the photo is very nice. You found a perfect angle and aperture jb, nice one.
jb7ParticipantThe perfect angle Zoltan?
I’m sure there’d be some disagreement on that one-Though the angles seemed to work out fine-
Regarding the perfect aperture,
I’m not so sure-
I think I could have opened up a bit and still had good focus-
maybe even better-Thanks for dropping by, glad you like it-
j
AlanMParticipantLovely Clear shot, I was wondering how come it was all in such clear focus, seeing as how all my own attempts are horribly out of focus at front and back. Thanks for sharing and all the information as well. Its nice to soak up some new info..
jb7ParticipantThanks Alan-
this one keeps bobbing up-Fintan is selling a lens for a Canon at the moment- https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=13037
that can do some of these movements- I’m sure it could be used with an extension tube too-Its probably the easiest and cheapest way to experience some of these effects on a ‘normal’ camera-
My, how fashions change-This is a picture from an earlier post, with those out of focus petals you describe-
Thanks again for the comment-

RobMemberLove that image Joseph. I imagine it would make a superb
huge print, big enough to fill a wall…Rob.
PeteMcDMemberLooked at this one a few times. Digested the Scheimpflug principle. Admired the picture. And came back again.
As you say, it just looks like you think it should…
DenverDollParticipantwow..missed these before~~~
love them both…but the second takes me back to my flowerchild childhood…the tones and the cheerful beauty…
it looks almost oily in the background…I totally agree with Rob…wonderful on the wall…
class work on these…impressive Joseph!
