Ok I am just back from the pub after the Utd game in which I believe we won
In the half time interval during my prawn sandwich I was abused and shouted at by the ABU I was even offered outside
by a dunder head,to which I didn’t rise to even after 5 or 6 pints 8) 8) cool as fook
Now all these ”spurs” supporters seem to disapeer after 90 mins very quickly and not another word
was said to me5faytheParticipantHi Cathal,
That must have been pretty enjoyable to watch.
I had some unavoidable work to do during the match but received
a text saying Spurs were 2 up. Thought it was a wind up.Caught a glimpse of telly a little later & it was 5-2. Very impressive.
Well done on keeping the cool.
I tend to keep my mouth shut whether my team is winning
or losing. I gloat or seethe internally.BTW I am an Arsenal fan so we have a Champions league date
during the week. I hope it’s a cracker & no matter what way it
goes I promise not to invite you outside.Cheers,
John.
bingbongbiddleyParticipantWas he inviting you outside to photograph the sunset or what? I don’t understand.
nfl-fanParticipantI was even offered outside by a dunder head
Pity I wasn’t there… I’d have held the Donnelly whilst dunder head gave him a few slaps.
All morals go out the window when it comes to United fans.
Only joking MUFC-CathalD (I thought I had better say that cos not a lot of people get my humour around these parts)… fingers crossed Arsenal can take ’em to the cleaners in Europe.
cathaldParticipantThe thing that gets me John is the fact that these guys only appear when
Utd are getting beat or have lost there all very quiet when we are on a roll
Bring on the arsenal on wed night and I expect a PM from Mark if they do the bizCathal
richiehatchMemberUnited fans are just as bad mate…. Was out for that infamous champions league final a few years back and the barman was a massive United Fan. Us Pool fans got such a sneering for the first 50 mins. He left at the full time whistle…! Its only banter and I suppose we all do it at times.. especially at this time of the season…! I’d be an avid ABC more than an ABU…! United to me ARE the best team in the league…. lump in my throat saying that…!

nfl-fanParticipantGiggs named PFA Player of the Year… eh?
Despite making only 12 Premier League starts and scoring a single goal

The PFA Player of the Year Award should really be re-named the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ after this. :?
nfl-fanParticipantYes… something isn’t right here.
Giggs is/was a great player… but there’s no way he’s been better than Gerrard or Vidic this year.
Gerrard would have been my pick. Vidic made a couple of unforgettable boo-boos this year that just take him down a notch.

Couldn’t agree more…! Dont get me wrong Giggs is a great player but this year there where certainly stronger.
Gerrard foe me too… In fact I dont like mentioning his name but Stephen Ireland in my eyes has been
unreal this year. Cant believe Ashley Young got in there in front of him. I would’ve awarded him the overall PFA…!Richie

Agree Richie but all fans are the same I think we all taunt and tease
But the guy who squared up to me wouldn’t even know the ball was round
He is just a mouth with a bit of backing so I will pay him a little visit an evening to see is he still big enough :lol:On the Giggs front I would agree it was more a life time award but in saying that it was voted on by fellow players
Gearard has had a good season alright and I’d say perhaps his England performances let him downI think a lot of the mid table and lower table team players do be forgotten about in these things
nfl-fanParticipantI was reading an article which stated Ronaldo was the leagues top scorer so far – couldn’t believe it so had to double check
Ronaldo Man Utd 17
Anelka Chelsea 15
Gerrard Liverpool 13
Robinho Man City 13
Torres Liverpool 13
Agbonlahor Aston Villa 12
Bent Tottenham 12
Davies Bolton 12
Lampard Chelsea 12
Rooney Man Utd 12
Crouch Portsmouth 11
Adebayor Arsenal 10
Cisse Sunderland 10
Kuyt Liverpool 10
Taylor Bolton 10Are strikers a thing of the past or what? Whats happened to the old 30 goal a year legends e.g. Ian Wright, Robbie Fowler etc?
cathaldParticipantI think the days of the goal poacher are gone and I think it has a lot to do with the zonal marking thing
Where the likes of Ian Wright, Robbie Fowler, Van Nistelroy,Rush etc teams tried to man mark these guys
and were not good enough to keep a lid on them so now it is the zones that teams are watching and the strikers
are not getting as much freedom in this area
Then again I am near the bottom of the fantasy footie league so what would I knowCathal

……I know one other die-hard Giggs fan. Have a look at this.
