Anybody tried Google Chrome yet?

I use Google as my home page in IE – has a link to download Google Chrome?
Any user feedback?
Alan RossiterParticipantYep – I use Chrome 3.0. Way faster than IE and some nice features. It can import your favourites from IE too. With very little head room on the application you also see more of the site you’re on.
The only downside for me is that it cannot cope with the new version of Eircom Webmail (Parsing error), things like Opanda EXIF reader don’t work on it yet and sometimes some web pages do expand beyond the viewing range and need a scroll bar but these are becoming less and less. All minor details.

ossie13ParticipantdavedunneParticipantFirefox is my main browser but I do use Chrome a bit especially for Google related pages (G Reader, calendar, Google voice etc), which I have created web app short cuts for.
And Chrome does appear to be a little faster especially when opening up multiple tabs.
The downside is that not all extensions and add ons are supported. I use Xmarks to sync all my bookmarks between my home laptop, work laptop and my Jolicloud netbook but XMarks is not support for Chrome yet.
Once all of the Firefox extensions and add ons can be easily used in Chrome I think Chrome may be the browser of choice for a lot of people.
bigalguitarpickerParticipantI downloaded Chrome and couldn’t fathom it out at all, made a determined effort, something went wrong, can’t remember what, I think it was the “not all extensions and add-ons supported” bit, maybe ad-blockers didn’t work, so I un-installed it. I’ve been using Firefox for some years now, wouldn’t think of using IE.
BMParticipantInstalled it last night – only need the mainstream add-ons …
However, I can’t log on to PI using Chrome! Anybody got any ideas?

That’s odd I’m using chrome without any problems.
BMParticipantStarted working this afternoon – was about to clear down the IE cache but didn’t have to …
BMParticipantSeems to be a spell checker when I post a reply in PI when using Chrome.
Many of the standard keyboard short-cuts also work, e.g. Ctrl and back delete.
But Alt-S for submit doesn’t work …
cathaldParticipantBeen using it for about a week now and find it ok
I cant check the exif with opanda yet but that will probably comedavedunneParticipantIn an update to my post above, I am now running a developer build of Chrome with an Alpha version of the XMarks extension and it seems to work OK so far. Now my bookmarks are synchronized across Firefox and Chrome.
Once the rest of my extensions get supported, I’ll probably make the switch for good.
jb7ParticipantWould there be a reason for not using Delicious for bookmarks?
I’ve stopped storing them in browsers altogether…

I like having all my bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar in the browser. I have a bit of a system that works for me.
Although I do sometimes “archive” stuff in Delicious if there is something I may want to come back some time in the future.
PixelleMemberI’m trying Chrome and like some of the features, but how do I get a useable font? It’s tiny!!
I’ve tried control the current page/zoom/larger and also Under the Hood but my changes change back so to speak.
I’m tired of ctrl/+ too. Even looked at the Chrome forum. Help!BMParticipant
