Ok I am still shooting film, b&w only, Fuji mostly
I do scan with a Minolta Scan Dual III and get them printed at Peak Imaging
No DSLR though (yet I spose)
AlfamaleParticipantNice to meet you NotPoodle (cool name!)
Yep. 35mm and medium format. Mostly colour slide (Fuji) with some black and white (Ilford) although they tend to come out a little sludgy looking :(
Am trying to buy a 9950f scanner from the UK at the moment. Has anyone else noticed how expensive postage from the UK has got recently?Look forward to seeing some of your stuff
goonerParticipantAre Peak Imaging online, whats the service like ?
I use photobox.ie for my colour photograph printing but didnt find them that good
for Black + White, seemed to be to be a bit of a colour cast on them.I’m finding it difficult to find a place to print digital on b+w.
RestlessNativeMemberYes they are online
I found them very good and the b&w looked great to me. No idea what their colour is like !
masteroftherealmParticipantHeya.
Ive gone back to only shooting film again due to my DSLR being stolen and TBH I loving it.
Ive always shot my b&W on film (APX100)
But going back to high ISO Film has been a lovely experience.photobrianMemberI’ve been shooting film always and up to 6 months ago my b+w film was Agfa APX 100 and 400.
Now I use Kodak Tri-x 400 speed, since Agfa went bust (damn damn damn) but I have to say that
I love the Tri-x.
Back in Feb. I bought a new Canon 5D. I must wipe the dust off it.EddieParticipantI shoot B&W using various films. Hp5 for standard about town shots. FP4 for portraits and still life. Fuji 1600 for lowlight.
All developed in Rodinal. Printing is in a traditional darkroom that i share with the dog. Agree with Alfamale the cost of postage from UK is very expensive. What bugs me is they will not send by Royal mail always using Parcel
force costing about ?15 to ?20 pound sterling.
For scanners try Pixmania.com
