To this I’d say wherever you’ve just been!

So West Cork for me….. But ask me last year and Id say the Dingle Penninsula….. before that, the Mayo coast…. before that Sligo….. before that on the Shannon etc etc etc!

I’ll make a quick observation if thats okay. When I joined I mentioned I was off to Portugal and when I got back I’d post some sun (rather than cloud) photos (remember the sun?). The week after I got back I had the opportunity to join some family for a couple of nights in Bantry…. and one day spent roaming from Bantry down the Beara Penninsula finishing with dinner in Glengarrif (being eaten alive by the midges!).

I am not exagerating to say that I got more quality shots in my one day in Cork, than my two weeks in Alvor!

So, ANYWHERE in Ireland for photography…… anywhere in Portugal for sunshine on your face and a cold beer in the hand!

I think it has to be Connemara for me also. Family ties mean most of my breaks when staying in Ireland tend to be in Kerry which clearly isn’t a bad spot either. But I’ll never forget driving through into connemara for the first time last year. The photography equivilent of being a kid in a sweet shop. We must do a PI trip there at some stage.

Anywhere I can get salmon jumping on their journey upstream,
any ideas? and I have never explored the north/east coast which
    I plan on doing.

Ballina Co Mayo the ridge pool where they come from all over the world to fish the salmon
and can be seen jumping up the wiers as they head up stream
