I just took delivery of a new Aquatech Co-7 housing for a canon 7d. The whole way through the process, aquatech have been fantastic to deal with. From answering my ever growing list of pointless questions to making sure I got exactly what I needed and going out of their way to try make the shipping/importing go as smoothly as possible. From a customer service point of a view, I really really cant speak highly enough of them. So far, from what Iv seen of the housing, the build quality/design is second to none. I wont get to try it in the water til Saturday morning but taking random pictures of the pets last night in the living room, twas lovely to shoot with:)

Its been a long time since I dealt with a company Iv found as helpful and just thought some people here might have been interested.

How much did it cost and was it specially made for you or a standard size ?

For the housing, two stage trigger and two ports it was two thousand and change. No they have a grange of camera they make them for. Mine is for the 7d, but I can get a mount plate and back plate and the 5d will fit the same housing.

I bet you’ll still be nervous on Saturday morning before you put your lovely 7D into the water, I know I would be. Have fun and post up some underwater shots as soon as you get them.

    Best of luck.

Yeah little bit nervy after last time. Had really wanted to sort out insurance before I got back in the water but they were looking for more then what it was costing to insure my house or my van for the gear so kinda struggling with the thought of shelling that out for something I hopefully wont need….

Iv a mate agreeing to meet me for 6 but at the moment conditions arent looking as favorable but hopefully Il still get out tomorrow to try it out

Tried it this morning for the first time.
I cant speak highly enough of it. So easy to use, so easy to get the camera in/out.

Haha, that what the surfer in the pic said afterwards too :)
In fairness to him, before I got in I told him I was shooting with a really wide lens and should him how close he’d need to be to get a good photo and it was like I had a performing monkey out there. He was always watching where I was and waiting to pull the move to the last moment as close as he could.

Thanks for the complement too, im itching now for a nice sunrise/sunset session.
This was just another random moment out there
