Internet in UK for cameras (not much more expensive than US, no VAT hassles)

Internet US or Hongkong or eBay for lenses.

I wouldn’t buy anything from the US, always get hit with import tax.

I buy and sell also from Hong Kong, no problems at all.

Have been for around 3 years now or so, I’m able to afford more equipment (like L series lenses) this way.

My last camera was a D70 which I actually purchased in a shop here in Cork.
It was only €20 more expensive than getting it in the UK but

    1) I was able to take it away there and then (beats waiting a week :))
    2) when there was a problem with it (pins in the card slot got bent), they took it back in
and got it repaired for me, all at no cost. Had it back in around 3-4 days perfect.

Moral is well, you might be surprised at the value you get locally and two when the sh1t hit
the fan, it was great to be able to get them to sort it out for me.
