Heres another one rescued from the archives with a bit of a crop.

Taken 3 years ago on the first night of our honeymoon. We arrived in Florence by train from Naples and headed straight up to the hotel’s roof garden for a much needed cold beer, and were treated to the most amazing view and sunset.

Let me know what you think… Thanks for looking.

It’s a nice scene. Maybe a bit dark in places, but very atmospheric.

What I’m more worried about is the honeymoon. So….. you were on your first night….
you’d got to the hotel and ordered some cold beers…. and you said, “I’ll just get out
me tripod and take a few photos”.

Take it from a bloke who has 18 years of marriage behind him – you will pay for this. It will
    not be forgotten.

I thought someone may pick up on the honeymoon thing (and guessed it may be you Pete!). All I can say is that there is no better time for setting a precedent, although in hindsight it hasn’t necessarily worked in the last few years!.

I would challenge any photographer to keep his camera packed away when confronted with this whatever the occaision. Besides it only took 1/20 sec (+ bit of setup) and Mrs H was enjoying the scene also with a glass of wine.

As for the darkness, I must admit I haven’t done a great deal of post processing here apart from the obvious crop.. I’ll see what happens if I lift the shadows a bit… thanks for your input.

I’m glad to be of service Pete

Anyway I took your advise and brightened this up a bit…Also did a bit of noise reduction.

You were definately right it looks a lot better now.
