Well emigrated from Ireland last February to Colorado and sold up my D700 and pro lenses before moving over (expensive to move!!)
So looking at getting back into it again and going to start with a D7000 (notwithstanding Nikons announcement on 24th!! I know I won’t be able to afford the D700 replacement – assuming that’s it and doubt the D7000 will get replaced) and probably the 16-85, toyed with the idea of an 18-200, watched the cameralabs review showing the lens creep and he did mention it was only when camera pointed straight up or down and the lock facilitates locking at 18mm when carrying. i want to keep the DX lens to a minimum and prefer landscapes.
Can’t wait to get back into it and get out to the Rockies during fall!
Does anyone have any photos of the rockies from holidays or any cycling events up here..?
Welcome back from the dead Pyzon! Good to have you on board and look forward to
hearing what camera you eventually go for. I have a D200 which the 18-200 is never off! Find
it great for holidays and general walk about, and I also have the D700 which I love use it for
wildlife etc with a 300mm 2.8 which is a great lens (Sigma version couldnt afford the Nikon)
I envy your photographic possibilities in Colorado especially autumn and look forward to seeing
your shots asap! :) Not that there is anything wrong with the photographic possibilities here
(when the weather is favourable!!)
