Backup body for weddings (Nikon)

    Hi all,

Anyone recommend a backup body for weddings? I’m shooting with a D300, and am debating between a 2nd hand D70 or perhaps a 2nd hand D2H. The D2H seems to go for about €350 on ebay, and seems a perfect compliment to the D300, except for the 4mp limit. Is 4mp too small? Would I be better off saving the money and trying to get a D70? And will the D70 autofocus on the older D series Nikon lenses that I have?

D200 going for £459 here. Should work out pretty reasonable with the weak sterling. There are quite a few D70s coming up on that site too.

Yeah, the D2H is old and not worth the cash. Digital technology has moved so far since then.

D50 could be an option too. 6 mp But you could pick it up quite cheap in shops or on ebay too.
