BADGER – Second attempt

Fourth visit to the sett and second chance to photograph this elusive but beautiful mammal. At least he had the manners to look up this time! Manual 1/250sec F11, two flashes. C&C welcome.
Thats a super shot Padraig, you must be delighted that your perseverance has paid off. It was well worth it too.

Well done Padraig, definitely worth the effort. Stick at it, I reckon there’s probably a lot more shots waiting to be taken. Congratulations, well captured.

Thanks guys. I’m sure John’s chance will come. He didn’t exactly bolt for cover, just paused for a moment then sauntered off slowly. He clearly wasn’t happy. I could hear him rooting around the undergrowth near by. He (or another badger) appeared again about 40 mins later but didn’t return to the log/peanuts. I’m over the moon with it. Thanks for your interest.
Well done Padraig, I just fed them again tonight and will be back out tomorrow evening.
I think we should all light candles for John, I admire the effort you both put in to get these shots, Best of luck to both of you over the next few weeks.
