Ballyboden hurling

One of the keepers from a local match at the weekend. Taken with a Nikon D3 & 70-200 f2.8. Really like this combo but could certainly do with some more reach for things like this. Anybody have any experience wusing a 70-200 with a 1.4 or 1.7 teleconverter? Any CC welcome.

I use a 70-200 AFD (no VR) with a Kenko 1.4 teleconvertor and find it pretty good when shooting local soccer matches.
Certainly helps with that extra reach and only loses around 1 stop or so.
