I think that JB has it spot on regarding the harsh triangle in the foreground of the first image. I see what you mean about the water flowing off the rocks/pier, but perhaps that is a different photo? This one is about the sea (and its great colours) leading up to the island and beyond.
Did you try a crop taking the triangle out completely? Using just the browser, I can see the improvements that JB indicated.
flynnyParticipantHi Lads,
The offending “stone”, is actually just one of the steps down to the diving platform,
There is very little room to manoeuvre.
Here is the Cropped version followed by the cloned version.[img]

RASMITH32MemberI like the cropped But that is some good cloning!. For me my eye consistently runs to the lighthouse everytime I look at the photo. I’d enhance the light on the LHouse a bit to make it more dramatic but I have been criticised for this in the past.
Good shot, I am a fan of these type of shots

5faytheParticipantHi Paul,
Fairplay to you for having a go at all the suggestions.
You could end up with a many versions.I can see merit in all the suggestions and your resultant
images are all very good.Interesting.
Well done.
John.
FlipsakeParticipantInitial posting just fine by me Paul, lovely shot. The lengths you went to
to attain a good picture have paid off again.flynnyParticipantThanks Lads,
I’ve always appreciated when people take the time to comment on any of my posts,
So, I’d try to (where possable)to try the suggestions. Now for the bad news,
turned on the PC yesterday and got the blue screen of death,
wouldn’t even start in safe mode,
tried to retrieve some stuff in dos, to no avail.
So Ive spent the day reformatting and trying to recover some stuff .
The shots above were lost as were some stuff I took in West Cork last week.
Although I back up once a week, this happened on Friday (13th).
I usually back up at the weekend :oops:Anyways, enough moaning, thanks again for the comments.
EddieParticipantBrian_CParticipantThis is lovely lovely shot, one to adorn the walls of home.
I prefer the second version.Alan RossiterParticipantSorry for your troubles Paul. It’s a beautiful shot but I’m sure with the enthusiastic opinions previously you’ll surely go for a repeat showing.
