    Really nice Paul, really like the foreground detail. If I was to get one of these filters where would one go.

    Dave I had the BW version of this filter.It was fine,but a couple of things to note with it were,1 it’s a screw on filter and 2 it gave a reddish cast to the shots taken with it.
    The Lee filter slides into the Lee holder(which I find easier), and there isn’t as much colour cast as the BW.
    As far as I know there is a bit of a backlog with Lee filters,I bought mine from http://www.robertwhite.co.uk/product.asp?P_ID=3086&PT_ID=713″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

    OK, I’ll be the one to suggest this might look good as B&W as well? Also, I wonder would composition be improved if the curve at the bottom left was actually coming in from the very corner of the image. Just my thoughts – that doesn’t take away from it being a cracking shot Paul.
    By the way, is that colour cast you mentioned easy to rectify if shot in RAW?

    Hi Mark,
    Your spot on about the crop,
    Works a lot better,
    About the B+W 10 stop,Heres an example of an unedited Raw file, I just resized it for the web,

    And here is an edited version of the same pic with the colour cast removed as best I could

    Theres a bit of work involved, mainly WB adjustment,desaturate the reds a little,and a levels adjustment.

    Brilliant colour detail and exposure, I love long exposures though :-)
