I swore I’d never try HDR but being out and about today I gave it a shot. Any tips would be appreciated.
I like HDR myself. You seem to have done a decent job here. What processes/tools did you use?
The image looks rather cool/blueish.Photomatix and PS CS3. I still have to get the hang of it as I have another pic which won’t line up properly.
Normally if your exposures won’t line up you have had movement between exposures. As said this shot looks to be to cool, you could hit it with a warming filter in cs3 and adjust to your likeing.

Thanks Jim, I have to say for the first effort for doing something other than sports I’m pretty happy. Just need to get out and practice some more once I can walk around properly after getting injured.
Head out to Stradbally, go towards the beach and there’s a sign for Ballyvooney Cove.
Also a great place for some birds which fly in between the rocks.
I’m not sure if there’s any way of controlling it to any great degree in Photomatix Ken, but there’s a glow all around the cliff. Where there’s high contrast edge like this, I’ll go for having the edge of the darker area darker with the loss of a bit of detail. I find it looks more natural.
