Ballywalter Rocks…again
-
LudaParticipant
I think this is the last one I find agreeable from my afternoon in Ballywalter.
The vignette was done is pp – I don’t always agree with adding a vignette unless it compliments the picture (like this fellas – his vignetting is beautiful), but in this case I’m pleased with the dark tones too.RobMemberVery nice Luda. The vinaigrette works well here, adds to the
mood somewhat. I’m not entirely sure about the darkness of
the foreground rocks though; could tolerate a slight lightening
perhaps? Lovely shot though…Rob.
seanmcfotoMemberI really like this image. I’m not finding it dark on my monitor. Looks great. Love the vignette and the toning in the image. The square crop looks great, very reminiscent of 6X6 medium format landscapes.
richiehatchMemberStunning work. The vignetting really works well and the tones are very nice..! Your stuff is great Luda..!

PeteMcDMemberLove it. The tones are deep and rich. Processing is gorgeous. Plus, a nice shot to begin with helps a lot! I like the mood in this a lot. You have some great stuff, as the other folks have said!
jb7ParticipantLooks good, it really suits the square frame-
and the spaces between all the elements is good too-

MartinParticipantI’m a big fan of the square format and it looks well here in this scene. The post processing is super. The only thing for me is that i would have panned it up a bit to show more sky and less of the very dark rock at the very bottom

PeteMcDMemberI just read your post in the introduction section. You’ve only been at this carry on since Feb?! Sickening!! :D
LudaParticipantThanks for the positive responses. I’ve been completely engrossed in the works of certain famous photographers and have almost forgotten to see photos in colour before I snap away. I’m always on the lookout for mono material.
Pete, I dabbled when I was a poor student back in the early/mid 90s, but it was so expensive that I had to watch from the sidelines as it were.
Digital is my saviour and I got my first DSLR in February.
