Towards the Northern most parts of Pakistan, in the Himalaya, the society is actually a lot more liberal than elsewhere in the country. I guess the stricter Muslim practices haven’t made it that far north, because it is quite isolated. Anyways, this photo is unusual in that the girls had no problem having their photo taken. They are from a town called Baltit.
