Banbridge Camera Club
-
BertieWoosterParticipant
Last Friday night I made my way along to the opening night of the new season at Banbridge Camera Club. It was a great evening – a couple of good presentations and discussions of the forthcoming season’s events. The banter was good and nobody seemed to take themselves too seriously. Even the tea wasn’t bad.
I chose Banbridge for a couple of reasons:
– Banbridge has been one of the most successful camera clubs in Northern Ireland for many years (including 2005-2006)
– it is local to me and I can get back from work in Dublin in time for the meetings
– they only meet every second Friday which makes it easier to get to most of the meetingsThe website is http://www.banbridgecameraclub.co.uk
If anyone local to that area is interested in joining a camera I’d strongly recommend the club.(BTW, I used to be a member of B-PIC camera club in Belfast, also a good club, but I simply couldn’t get from Dublin to Belfast in time for the meetings.)
SteveDParticipantBertie,
I was a member of B-PIC for the past 2 years, but this year I will be a member of Ballynahinch.
It would seem then that there may be some competition between us during the NIPA rounds!!!
May the best man win!!

Aha! The gauntlet is down! lol :-)
I intend to submit several photos for the NIPA competitions this year. But, knowing the high standard at the Banbridge club, mine may never make the club shortlist for going forward. Anyway, I’d be delighted if some of my photos ever come up against those of former B-PIC colleagues.

Same here, I’m hoping the very high standard at Ballynahinch will help move my photography forward.[/quote]
