I used a Canon 20D, with 100mm macro at 1/250 s F 5, iso 800, tripod and remote . The real trick is getting close with calm conditions and lots of light . As I said in an earlier post early morning, late evening or cold days are best to shoot these bugs as they are then a lot slower. Direct sunshine spoils the colours also. This one was taken in Lucan , Dublin at 7:30 am.
