If it wasnt so tragic, the first pic looks beautiful, like a mini Venice.
yes, that first picture is a little mad alright-
especially the shadow-Sunshine and blue sky in #1 makes it look good considering that the floods are a disaster for anyone involved.

I feel for all the people affected by the floods.
The shadow in the first one makes it look a little odd.
It looks so calm and peaceful but the damage caused must be devastating.

Yes, that shadow – from the buildings on the other side of the street – gives an unusual effect. I’m still unsure whether it adds to or takes from the photo.
Some of the businesses in town experienced a real tsunami as the floods came in one down and out the other, taking stock in their way.
Phillip — I’ll have to wear the PI strap more prominently ;-)–
