    Top picture-
    excellent-
    love the processing too-

For a moment there I thought I recognized the figure-
but since it’s posted in everything else,
it’s got to be a sculpture- isn’t it?

    Very lifelike indeed-
    good capture-

A fine beast if there ever was one… but as per my e-mail… your post processing isn’t as great as you’d like to think… that double chin (which looks like a bird egg stuck in my throat) could’ve been made to ‘disappear’… please.

    But that would be cheating…

Look at it as an unofficial “PS Challenge”. Seriously though.. good pic.. bit of fun!

Really excellent photograph Alan, and top notch finishing
on it too. Care to share your method on this one?

Well, it went something like this Rob…

    An obvious crop to square.
A preset in Lightroom called “Funky Twist”…I s**t you not! This emphasises the lines, or contours in the image but drives the colour scatty and makes unusual lighting alterations (look under Johns right arm at the bright patch).
Reduced Saturation (just enough to see colour but not make it mono)
Brought into PS and put a light brown overlay and played with opacity (I think from memory it was around 60%)
Sharpened using a 500%, 0.7 radius layer and dropped opacity again to around 60% (a-la stcstc)
Put the white border to emphasise the detail.

    …I think!

The shot was taken with the 10-20mm so it would distort the subject (hence the chin ;-) )

It’s a pity the model in question was so uncooperative though. I’ll never work with him again!!!!

It’s obvious that this shot is all about the model and not about the processing… although… I do find the eye liner a bit on the heavy side.

Thanks for that Alan. I don’t have Lightroom myself. Funky twist indeed.
Looks a little like a low radius high pass filter, only better…
    Appreciate your run down…

I only wear a size 10.. (ladies.. hold back that thought).. but the minute Alan and myself chimped the shot I said “my feet looking feckin huge”.

Probably the fact it was taken in close on a wide angle.
