Portrait taken of Sue the day we planned to do some post wedding shots for a local mag, however on that day back in August(28 Degrees) -must have being the only day of sun.. the air con went bust! Loads of make up running, plenty of shine yada yada however we still went on and gald to say with the power of PS we were able to salvage some.
Wow, thats a hell of a difference. In terms of touching up a photo, I dunno if that much would be acceptable for a portrait shot. The difference in the facial pictures for the same shot is a bit harsh. I think you maybe lose a bit of the essence of the person when adjusting that much but thats just my opinion. Definitely a ncie conversion but I just think that the facial structure is cahnged a little bit whichc wou;ld annoy me as a customer, if you know what I mean.
I’d have to say that that is waaay too much PS work in my opinion. She looks almost like a mannequin in the retouched shot. Maybe if you could pull back on the smoothing or whatever process you used it would look better.
As it is I’d prefer the original, shine or no shine.
