This is a shot of the lovely Janine .I was trying to get that fashion magazine look .
Mainly dodging burning and nik dynamic skin softner .
How close do you think I got .Any suggestions welcomed .jb7ParticipantJanine is very lovely, agreed-
and you’ve made a lovely portrait of her-
she looks very natural and relaxed. Not exactly sure about what you mean by a fashion magazine look-
there are a lot of them,
and there could be a different look on every page-I might have liked to see her a little closer-
Good picture-

ImagineParticipantFirst thing I noticed was how good/natural her skin looks so if it was down to lighting or processing it looks great.
However, I’m not sure about the composition e.g. the way her elbow is cut off and half the other arm?
Have you any other shots from the same shoot with different composition?
D.
lousyParticipantI don’t care about elbows cropped in this image, as the model makes up for any imperfections compositionally or otherwise.
The pose is really nice and the skin tones and as for that smile… I think the pic is fab’
PatSetantaBParticipantI really like it, and your model of course – very relaxed also
Being doing some studio courses myself. Was that a bit of a halo light on the top of her head or back lightultrovoiletoneMemberThanks for all the comments ,the lighting set up was just one large softbox with the model close to a black wall
Here is another one from the same session with slightly different ps processingRobMemberThat’s some nice work there Ultrovoiletone. I particularly like
the second image here – very natural tones and not at all overcooked
as is often the case with fashion/model photography. Good light and
detail throughout and very nice positioning of your model within the
frame. Good viewpoint too, different than the usual…Rob.
ImagineParticipantUltro, I’m glad if I asked if you had any more pics as in my humble opinion that is a much better pic. Great job.

Sgt_MajorMemberSecond shot is brilliant work.
The crop on the first shot I dont find distracting, as the eye contact maintains the interest.
ultrovoiletoneMemberThanks for all the comments guys .To be honest I prefer the first shot I find it more
engaging ,I will have to revisit the crop and see what it looks like up close as suggested
Many Thanks
