A couple taken over the last few days. haven’t posted a lot recently and even less in this section.
These were taken with my Lumix TZ4 using its macro mode. Personally thought they came out pretty well so all comments welcome as usual.

Only resized and cropped for the page, its a great wee camera.

    Thanks for looking.

    Hi,
#1 is a great shot and would be even better if you could tone down the highlights on the uppermost right petal. It is nice and sharp with plenty of detail in the right places, well done.
#2 would also have been great if the head was not obscured……./Mikka

    Hi Soda.
Two good shots but such a pity the bee was not flying towards you in #2, it would have been great to see it’s face. Great detail in both shots, but I find the backgrounds a bit too busy. Well done

Mikka, Thanks for the comments totally agree with the highlights on the flower being too bright.

Miki and Mikka, I liked the shot because of the wing being in the positon it is, as it isn’t the normal in flight shot, if that makes sense.

Mikka I understand about the background and I am blaming the the small sensor on the camera for the lack of DOF. It does a great job but control is really hampered (not that I would have improved probably if I had used my DSLR).

    Thanks again.

Yeah the background maybe to busy, but then again you just have to go thee where the bee is at that moment. you’re a bit unlucky with the wings covering the face of the little bugger, but then again you might be argueing that you also might be lucky to catch him/her in flight.
Overall I can see you having fun with the new toy.
