These were taken with very limited photographic knowledge, mostly basics and the urge to get as close to the subject as possible!
    Any tips welcome

No 3 is the best , the sky could do with darkening a little but its a great shot .

Number 2 is my favourite, although i would clone those tree branches out of the top left corner… detracts attention away. Good shots ‘tho. :)

#2 rings the bell for me. I’d also suggest remooving the twigs. I like the natural color.

#1 really starts to draw me in, but it cropped too close. There’s not enough context. Did the original have all of the nose?

    1) the wire is spoiling photo
    2) delete these three branches in the top left corner
    3) Funny :-)

Ahh love Donkeys! Second and third are my picks, agree with Chris
the wire takes away from the first shot.

Brilliant, things I never even considered!

Will edit the branches when I get home this evening, would ‘content aware’ in CS5 be a good way to effectively remove these?

I believe that what you see in photo 1 is the full frame of the photo , although I will double check the originals tonight.

Also agree with the darkening of the sky, now I look close at the sky it looks terrible! Was always too busy focusing on the subject and not the background
