A nice set like the first and the third and fourth not so sure about the last one to be honest. Nice pair of stilts you got for Christmas.
have a good one mate.
SodatommykelsoMember5faytheParticipantHi Dee,
I hope you and yours are keeping well.
Nice selection of images you have presented here.
It would be a little easier to comment if they were numbered but that’s
just me being grumpy.#1 is a lovely image with beautiful colour.
I’d try cropping a good bit (Maybe an inch or so) off the top and the bottom as
I think there is too much sky and foreground.#2 probably suffers a little by being included with #1 but is very nice nonetheless.
I do feel it might be tilting a little to the left but could be my imagination.I like the frozen foliage in #3 but I feel the OOF birds are a distraction in this case.
Again nice colour.I think #4 is my favourite not that that makes any difference.
Beautiful winter scene well exposed and composed.
I would crop about an inch off the bottom.
Love it.#5 shows a lovely scene and I like the way the fence is curling through the photograph into the distance.
Not too sure if including the shadow works. :?
I scrolled up to just above the head and I think that’s a better image.#6 The tree is my least favourite of the bunch and it definitely suffers from being presented in such
fine company.
I think the frozen branches against the sky is a good idea but I’m not sure the whole image works. As always these are just my honest opinions and I am often wrong. :)
May you have a Happy and Peaceful Christmas.
John.
pelagicMemberDee,
Lovely set.
John admitted to being grumpy so I won’t make the same suggestion. [8->}}}
I really like #5, but would crop this side of the end of the railing and clone out just your shadow.
stevie glennMemberDeeboParticipantHi all
Many thanks for the positive feedback and CC, this is very helpful and all taken on-board
I do agree that 4 and 6 are not the best, but just included to give an overall feel for the whole afternoon trip. I always take shots of my shadows and I have a long collection of these. A bit sad :-)
As for the tree, I can never get these shots to work.
My fave is 1 and 4 too. Some of the crops suggested are bang on, thanks and these will be actioned before printed.
Merry christmas to all at PI
Dee
