Hi Patty, lovely colour rose, a little overexposed maybe,
hard to get right in bright sunshine, the nicest flower shots I
have seen have been taken either on a slightly overcast day or
very early/late sun, and of course wind free would be great to
avoid any slight movement. Use a tripod if you can and take
time to look around at the background and framing of the subject.
Just to add to Jennys advice Patty, try putting the rose off centre and a handy hint for flowers to make them pop, is to spray a fine mist of water on the petals using a sprayer or even a toothbrush :D Great to see you posting a variety of subjects Patty, this is the place to hone your skills.
