A great (semi) abstract, Steve. Printed large and hung against a plain background, I could see it fitting in well in a modern home or in a corporate environment.
Certainly works for me Steve. Very easy on the eye and as already said… I think it would look really well printed large and hung.
If you don’t mind me saying though, I wish you hadn’t actually posted the original, unprocessed version as well. For me it’s kind of taken some of the mystery away from the finished image. Just my opinion. Still, a lovely, pleasing image.
I agree that maybe you shouldn’t have reveal the original. It is very nice, no doubt about it, but a bit of mystery attached to such a nice range of colours wouldn’t hurt.
I think you’re right Aoluain. I’ve seen a few of this type of image and some had a pasted in element to them, so I thought I’d give it a try. I took the easy option by adding a horizontal motion blur to the original image, and thought it needed something more. The other option is to crop out a long thin slice and stretch it using Transform. I’ll maybe try that and see how it looks.
