I think you could try opening the aperture a bit to get a smaller depth of field.
I don’t know much about horses’ footwear, but to a layman it looks like the shoe is the wrong way up. Why do they have those knobbly bits sticking up at the back? It’s like a heel on a human shoe, is it?
