Standard run of the mill Hover-fly.
This guy was taking a break. Found him slumbering on the window sill.
Gave this lot some honey to drink.
One of the honey drinkers. This was taken x5 magnification.
This Snail was shot life size (x1). This is the most i could fit in the frame.
A Ladybug type Beetle I think. He was about 4mm long.
This is a Froghopper. The same guy responsible for the Cockoos Spit you would find on plants. This is the Adult.
A small Fly. Like a Hover-fly. About 3 – 4 mm long.
BrickeeParticipantfguihenParticipantaw wow!! i really need to get a macro lens. those are mega. love the row of ants eating honey. snail looks excellent also, especially with the white nike swoosh on his side, or is it a go faster stripe! you use a ring flash?

Dave OSscotty38886Memberthanks for the help much appreciated.
Can I just ask? Say if i cought a spider for instance what house hold item would be a good background to place him on?
wold a sheet of A4 paper be good enough (sorry for the q’s im new to photography.
osheadParticipantI’d say, choose whatever would help excentuate the spider and look most natural.
