They are great night shots Pat, particularly the first and third, I love the ghostly
feel to the third with misty people. The wet pavements add to the shots too. :)DeeboParticipantNice shots pat, first two are really good and I bet they would print well too.
As Jenny says, the wet pavements reallly do help make the shot
DeelousyParticipantThanks Jenny and Dee, yes I was quite happy with the long exposure ones considering I only brought a flimsy tripod. There’s something about John 3:7 that intrigues me though…I took it out the window of the Kylemore restaurant whilst having a coffee. The fact that yer man is there all day with what appears to be a ‘Biblical’ sign. I googled it and it is Biblical, but also has a GAA thing attached to it….the mind oggles!!! :? :? :?
Paul WhParticipantGreat set of images, nicely presented, I like the john 3:7 the best, the framing does it for me, the other three are great too mind ya.
lousyParticipantAh great, and thanks Paul…I too love the framing of it, and it’s a simple shot.
Thanks for the comment.Pat
DanBParticipantLovly street atmosphere! I think #3 could work better in portrait mode, but the ghosty effect of the pedestrians makes the orientation issue secondary. Nice capture of the “preacher” in #4, great depth of field.
lousyParticipantThanks Dan. The ‘preacher’ eh? is that what he’s called? Dof is nice on it… f/2.8 1/30 sec ISO 1250, hand held

Here’s a little bit more info about him. http://allseeing.me/index.php/37-project-52-50/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
I met him a couple of months back and took a few shots of him. Have to say, your shot of him is my favourite out of the bunch. :DlousyParticipantThanks for the link Denis, that was most informative. I suppose he’s a born again Christian…nothing wrong with that I suppose..and as they say “to each their own”.
Cheers again Denis.
