Haven’t been about for a while. Bit busy…good complaint I guess :)
This is my first landscape. Prob a sea scape actually. Just messing around with Photoshop really.

I don’t know if this is a stitching together of several different shots but it looks like it. The sky seems to be divided by the mast of the orange boat, looking different to the left and right. Maybe it’s just the effect the mast is having but I find it a bit jarring. Also I think it’s quite dark and could do with some lightening.
It seems a good picture, but at such a small size it loses impact. Fergus’s point may be confirmed or exoneratoed if displayed bigger.
Thanks for the comments. I was trying to achieve a dark and stormy look. The day was overcast so I wasn’t happy with the original at all. I tried it also in black and white. Maybe it works better. I didn’t stitch the image. Though now that I look at the mast, I see what you mean. Just messed around with some cropping, colours and levels etc. I thought it sort of looked like an imitation hdr to me but it was from just one jpeg file, though I did shoot raw also. I uploaded to flickr for embedding, and I didn’t upload any bigger. Next time…
I’m thinking of going back there with an nd filter. Anybody got any advice about that?
