    Sorry but I am having problems sizing my photos,please bear with me.

    Hi Patricia, for a beginner you’re heading down the right road, you’re getting close to the robin or he’s getting close to you, try another angle on this one just so that the wall isn’t in the image and maybe stick a branch in the hanging basket so that the little guy has a perch and snap him while he’s on the perch, it’ll make the image more natural, only a thought though, you’re making a good start anyway, Paul.

    Took me ages to manage a half decent shot of a bird. I am now using a piece of driftwood and have rubbed some fat into it and placed seed and peanuts in all the nooks and crannies. Once they are used to it I will then get out there and shoot them. Another thing I did was to move the feeder close to my window and took some from inside. I also set the camera on a tripod. Focussed on the feeder and using a wireless remote waited for the birds to arrive from inside. That one was great when I did not have a zoom lense. :D
